Global Destination Cities Index Asian Cities Dominate

The annual MasterCard Global Destination Cities Index is Asian cities dominate. Asian countries account for more than half of the top-Tan which tells how much popular these cities. Bangkok's second place in the list with 18.24 million international overnight visitors obtained. London is ranked first in. It had 18.82 million overnight visitors. Third place with 16.06 million visitors in Paris, Dubai's fourth position with 14.26 million visitors, with 12.56 million visitors to Istanbul fifth, sixth place with 12.27 million visitors to New York, with 11.88 million overnight visitors to Singapore seventh place, with 11.12 million visitors to Kuala Lumpur eighth, ninth place with 10.35 visitors to Seoul and Hong Kong was ranked at number ten with 8.66 million visitors.

MasterCard Southeast Asia president Matthew Driver has said that for many Asian countries, tourism has become an important source of income and employment. Tourists in the region are growing and it is being promoted. India and China are promoting tourism. Moreover, there are plans to build a great tourism experience and considerable focus is on hospitality. Haritel while preserving the concept of Smart Cities is being planned to be given concrete shape.
